Ocean Glazed Artisan Necklace, circa 1970’s

This necklace is absolutely one of the most interesting pieces we have seen. It has hundreds of handmade porcelain like drops in shades of blue and white that have all been strung on with a spacer between each one. There is a glaze over each drop which gives it an amazing glossy feel. It is truly a work of art and must have taken a long long time to make each of these drops by hand. It is of course extremely fragile so you wouldn’t want to go anywhere too crazy in this gorgeous piece like a rodeo or Pilates class. However it would make a phenomenal collar necklace statement of a piece. Best guess is it was made in Italy.
